Junior Lakes

About Junior Lakes

Junior Lakes are now open for 2018!

Three well stocked ponds with carp up to 10lb+ and a mixture of other species including: tench, roach, perch and the occasional eel, our Junior lakes are the perfect place for the novice angler young or old to come and enjoy the pleasure of catching fish.

The lakes are open from 10am – 5pm seven days a week and booking is not required although if your party has 10 or more children it’s worth ringing to let us know to avoid disappointment as rods can hire out quickly.

Don’t worry if you haven’t fished before as our onsite bailiff will be happy to help and answer any questions you may have.

Basic fishing equipment is available for hire. Our whips are set up and ready to go with no reel so tangles are kept to a minimum.

We can also supply you with bait including maggots, paste and sweetcorn and our onsite tackle shop, “Kent Tackle” also supply other types of bait if you require.

The lakes are comfortably laid out with wooden benches and picnic tables so you can enjoy yourselves whilst your children fish.

Children aged 14 and under must be supervised at all times by an adult over the age of 21.  Please make sure that a suitable number of adults are available within your party to supervise the children as we cannot be responsible for keeping them under control.

You do not require an environment agency fishing licence to fish our Junior Lakes as we  are covered by our own blanket licence. However if you don’t have your own licence please let us know as we need to take your details to be added to our licence. Children under 12 years of age do not require a licence but to be on the safe side their supervising adult should be added to our licence in case they want to hold the rod to assist their child.

Many youngsters have enjoyed catching  their first ever fish and very few go away disappointed. If you have been struggling to catch a fish please don’t be afraid to ask for help we are only too happy to assist.

** Please be aware that BBQ’S are not permitted on our Junior Lakes. Picnics may be consumed but only around the Junior Lakes where seating is provided. Please help us keep this area clean and tidy by either taking your litter home or using the bins provided. Food can be purchased from Waterside Cafe (situated on site) to eat in or takeaway. Thank you for your co-operation. **
